An associate professor of architectural technology at Pennsylvania College of Technology was selected for inclusion in the 2009 edition of "Who's Who in America."
Robert A. Wozniak, a member of the Penn College faculty since August 2005, will be represented in the 63rd edition of the annual publication that profiles more than 100,000 leaders and achievers from across the country and from every significant field of endeavor from business and politics, to health care and science, to entertainment and the arts.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the School of Architecture and Planning at the State University of New York-Buffalo, and has begun course work toward a master's degree in human resource management from the College of Technology at Indiana State University, Terre Haute. He also attends workshops and continuing-education course work and remains involved with various design and/or build opportunities.
Wozniak came to Penn College from Harrington Sandberg Architecture and Engineering, P.C., where he was a designer/project manager.
He previously coordinated the architectural technology program at Vincennes (Ind.) University and was a member of the institution's faculty for 10 years. He also taught at Mesa Community College and the former Phoenix Institute of Technology and held a variety of private-sector positions related to the architectural, engineering and construction profession in metropolitan Phoenix and in Buffalo.
"I have a passion for the students and the profession, and I enjoy the interaction, creativity and technology that teaching provides," Wozniak said. "My motto for the students is, "˜Their success is our success.' In other words, if I have been able to be an instrument to allow the students to develop professional skills and ultimately to be able to compete professionally and obtain a rewarding position, then and only then have I been successful."
