Economics Professor Presents Paper at Regional Conference

Abdul B. Pathan, professor of economics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently presented a paper at the 30th annual meeting of the Northeastern Association of Business, Economics and Technology.
The paper, "Use of Real World Events to Teach Principles of Economics," will be published in the conference proceedings. The event was held Oct. 25-26 in State College.
Formerly known as the Association of Pennsylvania University Business and Economics Faculty, NABET offers a platform for presentation of academic work by professors of nearly 40 colleges of business throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
A Penn College faculty member since 1987, Pathan holds a doctorate from the University of Houston and master's degrees from Williams College in Massachusetts and Dhaka University in Bangladesh. He also has served as chair of College Council, which oversees the six committees of the college's Internal Governance System.
