A team of students won the inaugural kickball game against Penn College staff Wednesday night. The students, led by Gavin Mock's 3-run home run, rallied to beat the staff team, 12-5. Staff caught the student team off-guard and scored 4 runs in the first inning to open up a lead. The students got one back in the bottom half of the first and scored 3 more in the second to tie the game. With the score 4-4 in the third, the student team added 2 more runs in the fifth inning and never looked back. The staff team was led by Pete Rogan and Andrew Gutkowski, who each were 2-for-3 at the plate. Mock was the Most Valuable Player for the student team, which also benefited from the powerful foot of Anthony Sofranek, who kicked a solo home run.
