The Alumni Association at Pennsylvania College of Technology is planning an "Alumni Family Fun Day" for Saturday, July 14, at Knoebels Amusement Resort, Elysburg.
Alumni of Penn College and its predecessor institutions Williamsport Area Community College and Williamsport Technical Institute are encouraged to participate; ticket pickup is scheduled for 11 to 11:30 a.m. and 5 to 5:30 p.m. at Pavilion "U."
Participants can check out the world-class roller coasters, take a scary ride through the haunted mansion, spend some time in Kiddieland or relax at the entertainment stage.
Alumni may purchase a $10 book of tickets for just $9. Tickets are redeemable for rides, refreshments, games and the pool.
At 5:30 p.m., there will be a Summer Picnic Dinner at Pavilion U, with a meal provided by Knoebels' catering staff. The menu includes a barbecue-chicken quarter, hot dog, macaroni and cheese, potato chips, cole slaw, ice cream, and beverages. The cost is $8.50 per person, and children ages 4 and under eat for free. All alumni in attendance will be registered to win a variety of prizes.
After dinner until 10 p.m. it's back to the park to finish a day filled with fun, food and fantasy. Alumni may pick up their tickets from 5 to 5:30 p.m. if they only want to enjoy dinner and the park activities afterward.
For ticket and meal reservations, contact the Alumni Relations Office by June 29 at (877) 728-2586 or by e-mail.
