Nine fourth-semester students in the physical fitness specialist major recently sat for the National Strength and Conditioning Association's Certified Personal Trainer exam, which was conducted on campus in April. Designed for professionals who work one-on-one with their clients in a variety of environments, it is one of the top certifications to achieve in the field of fitness management and personal training. The exam thoroughly tests the knowledge and skills that are necessary to successfully train active and sedentary physically healthy individuals, as well as the elderly and obese.
