Steph Pic connected on a pass to Jen Miller to get the offense started for The Village/Campus View and they never looked back, beating College West/Rose Street 13-6 in Sunday's "Powder Puff Football" action.
The extra point failed and the score at the half was 6-0, according to this recap from Jeremy Bottorf, intramural/Fitness Center assistant.
"College West/Rose Street battled back, but, with a fourth-and-goal inside the 1-yard line, they couldn't convert and The Village/Campus View took control of the ball.
"Pic threw a pass through the middle of the field and the ball was up in the air, bobbled by both teams, and Erin Mahoney came in and stole (it) and ran the length of the field to give The Village/Campus Village a commanding 12-0 lead. Mahoney then took the ball and ran in the end zone again for the extra point, making the score 13-0.
"However, College West/Rose Street wouldn't give up and scored on a pass from Emily Beiter to Laura Klugh to make the game 13-6. The extra point failed and The Village/Campus View was able to run out the clock and win the battle for residence-hall supremacy."
