Membership in Alpha Chi is open to bachelor-degree students from all academic disciplines and is limited to the top 10 percent of an institution's junior and senior classes. The organization's purpose is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction.
Thirteen of those students were on hand for the induction ceremony, held in the Mountain Laurel Room of the college's Professional Development Center, The guest speaker for the event was Veronica M. Muzic, special assistant to the president for academic affairs, who as vice president for academic affairs/provost was instrumental in establishment of the Penn College chapter and its successful growth into anactive student organization on campus.
