Friday, February 23, 2007
Patrice M. Campbell, a business administration-marketing major from Montoursville, has been chosen as the Student Government Association's "Student of the Month" for February.
Actively affiliated with SGA and its allocations committee, as well as being a member of the Wildcat Events Board, Campbell also was one of the inaugural student "Links" who successfully kicked off Penn College's "Connections" orientation program last summer.
"Patrice works part-time at (Student) Health Services and loves helping others and promoting 'Penn College Pride,'" one of her nominators wrote. "She works closely with WEB and is a great role model for all students at Penn College."
Her other nominator also noted how well Campbell balances her academic responsibilities with part-time employment off-campus and her numerous college activities.
"Patrice has shown a true knowledge and understanding of her studies and, because of her dedication, has been a proud dean's-list recipient."
SGA regularly selects a "Student of the Month" based on commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement. Watch PCToday for the next round of nominations.
