Also in double digits were Joe Simon (Renovo) with 18 points; Tom Little (Beacon Falls, Conn.), with 12 points and eight rebounds; Jameel McAfee (Williamsport) and Craig Flint (Port Allegany), 11 each; and Ryan Scott (Dallastown), 10.
"We're trying to end the season on a positive note," coach Gene Bruno said. Penn College is on the road Monday and closes out at home Wednesday.
Women's BasketballBrittany Blessard (Renovo) scored 27 points while Amanda Ault (Milan) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Penn State New Kensington. Amy Fassett (Ulster) handed out 12 assists.
Men's VolleyballPenn College took all 12 games during four matches over the weekend, but it was the final game, against Harrisburg Area Community College, that pleased coach Wes Strayer the most. Down game-point at 20-24, the Wildcats rallied behind the serving of Matt Staub (Millersville) to pull out a 29-27 victory.
"It was wonderful," Strayer said. Commenting on the overall weekend play, the coach said, "They actually started playing some defense. They really stepped up on defense and blocking."
