'Cat TalesMen's BasketballTrailing by six points with three minutes to play, the Wildcats rallied for their first win of the season in their Penn State University Athletic Conference opener at Penn State Fayette.
Joe Simon (Renovo) scored 18 points, Craig Flint (Port Allegany) had 16, Jameel McAfee (Williamsport) 13 and Matt Michaels (Williamsport) 12 to pace the offense as the team returned to action for the first time since Nov. 18. Simon and Tom Little (Beacon Falls, Conn.) each hauled down nine rebounds and Michaels had seven assists.
On Saturday, at Penn State Beaver, the home team knocked down 12 3-point shots and sent Penn College to its third loss of the season. Scott finished with 15 points for the Wildcats while McAfee had 14 points and Little 11 points.
