"Nuts and Bolts" is the theme for Alcohol Awareness Week 2006, Oct. 9-14 at Penn College, helping students learn about the effects and consequences of alcohol use and abuse through a variety of invaluable programs.
Monday, Oct. 9 Walk of Death Did you know that, according to current statistics, 10 people are killed every hour as a result of someone driving under the influence of alcohol? The Penn College Alcohol Awareness Committee will illustrate this horrifying fact by choosing 10 Penn College staff, faculty and students an hour to "become a statistic" for the remainder of the day. Students will get a real-life perspective on the severe impact that drunk driving can have on a community.
