Penn College paramedic and physician assistant students are devoting time this week at the Little League Baseball World Series in South Williamsport. Physician assistant students and faculty have been staffing the Infirmary in International Grove, the residential area set aside for the participating baseball teams, since Aug. 14, and paramedic students are finding free time to help Susquehanna Health System staff to provide emergency medical service at the games. Among the students helping, from left, are Svetlana Z. Rutgayzer, of Philadelphia, physician assistant; Richard S. Shirk, of Bernville, paramedic technology; Le Ann F. Shelmire, of Mansfield, physician assistant; and Casey W. Strobl, of Coplay, physician assistant. In left photo, Strobl takes part in a longtime series tradition by trading a Penn College pin.
