Big news from Career Services! Beginning this fall semester, students and alumni are able to register on eRecruiting without having to attend the WOW 100 eRecruiting Orientation.
eRecruiting is Counseling and Career Services' Web-based recruiting software system for all placement functions. To openan account, visit the eRecruiting Network and click on the "Create Account" link in the bottom left corner to register for an eRecruiting account. To activate your account, you will have to sign off on the "Terms of Agreement." Those terms can be reviewed online prior to starting your account.
Your eRecruiting account will allow you to access career information, manage your job search, on-campus recruiting, co-op/internships or resume-referral process online and to connect with the thousands of opportunities that are available within the network.
Once you have opened your account and completed your profile, you should upload a professional resume. Keep in mind that your profile and resume are the first things an employer will see when making a hiring decision. Career Services is available to help you in creating a resume that will make the right impression.
For more information about how to create a resume, visit the World of Work Web site and look for the "WOW 103 Write Your Resume (and Cover Letter) the Right Way" workshops. "WOW 112 Resume & eRecruiting Drop-ins" still will be offered on the WOW Calendar for new users who would like instruction on using the site and for current users who are looking for a refresher.
As always, Career Services is here to assist you with all your job-search needs in the Bush Campus Center, Room 204.Help also is available bye-mail or by calling (570) 327-4502.
