Faculty Exhibit to Open Season at Relocated Gallery

The works of 14 Penn College art faculty are featured in the premiere exhibit in The Gallery at Penn College's new space in the Madigan Library.The Gallery at Penn College, relocated to the top floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's new Roger and Peggy Madigan Library, will open its first exhibit of the semester as the library opens its doors for the first time on Aug. 14.

The exhibit showcases work by 14 full- and part-time Penn College art faculty, including pieces in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, photography and printing. The show runs through Sept. 24, with an opening reception scheduled from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29.



The gallery is open only during scheduled exhibits. Hours are Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m.; and Wednesday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special hours will be held Aug. 14-18, when the library closes at 4:30 p.m. All exhibits are free and open to the public.

Displaying their artwork will be Max E. Ameigh, part-time instructor of advertising art (ceramics); David L. Burke, part-time instructor of photography; Gary R. DiPalma, instructor of graphic design; Brian A. Flynn, assistant professor of graphic design; Steven P. Hirsch, assistant professor of advertising art; Craig S. Kaufman, part-time instructor of advertising art (drawing and painting); Bradley G. Mosier, part-time instructor of advertising art (2-D design); David M. Moyer, instructor of graphic design; Gretchen H. Moyer, part-time instructor of advertising art (printmaking); Pat Murphy, associate professor of advertising art (painting); Robert F. Pierce, part-time instructor of advertising art (drawing); Kim A. Rhone, laboratory assistant, media arts (and part-time instructor of photography); Carol Schwartz, part-time instructor of advertising art (color and design); and Keith A. Vanderlin, instructor of graphic design.
