Mark A. Paternostro, associate vice president for academic services at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be honored for the third consecutive year in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."
Paternostro's biography will appear in the 10th edition of the book, to be published later this year, and also appeared in the book's eighth and ninth editions.
Teachers whose biographies appear in the book have been nominated by a former student. Students listed in "Who's Who Among American High School Students," "Who's Who Among American High School Students Sports Edition" and "The National Dean's List" are invited to nominate a former teacher who has contributed significantly to their success and growth.
Paternostro taught human anatomy and physiology courses at Penn College from 1994-99. After working at James Madison University, he returned to the college in 2001 to take the role of assistant dean of integrated studies.
In 2004, he was promoted to associate vice president for academic services. In addition to his administrative duties, Paternostro continues to teach, voluntarily, at least one anatomy and physiology course each semester.
Paternostro holds a doctorate and a master's degree from the University of Illinois; he earned a bachelor's degree from Kenyon College.
