Electronics Students Learn How to Make Good First Impression

Monday, May 1, 2006

On April 13, about 30 electronics students were given valuable tips on how to make a good first impression when applying for a job by Tracy Rupert, human resources manager for The Drucker Company.

Rupert had offered to spend some time with students while attending the March Career Expo held in the Field House and provide some dos and don'ts of crafting resumes and cover letters, as well as tips to students on how to conduct themselves during the interview.

The Penn College Student Chapter of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) made the necessary arrangements and was pleased with the turnout of students interested in making sure their first impression is a good impression. The Drucker Company is a manufacturer of medical/laboratory equipment in Philipsburg.
