"I'm very pleased to announce that we made $4,858," said Margaret A. 'Peggy' Barbour, who with her committee of campus volunteers tirelessly spearheaded the creative initiative to raise money for Pennsylvania College of Technology's new library.
College employees and student groups donated items to fill baskets based on a chosen book. Themes for the 39 packages represented an array of interests including food, travel, hobbies and literature and were contained in "baskets" ranging from luggage to lawn chairs. The packages ranged in value up to $550.
The following baskets were chosen as among the crowd's favorites; they each will have a book donated to the library in their creators' names.
