Skyrocketing utility costs are not only challenging Pennsylvania College of Technology students and employees at home, but are threatening to swell tuition costs. To encourage the college community to join together to lower utility bills on campus, the Governance Facilities Committee recently launched the "Smart Energy Use" Web site.
A year ago, the Long Range Planning Committee of Governance requested that the Facilities Committee look into what could be done to combat this source of tuition inflation.
The "Smart Energy Use" site is designed to inform the Penn College community about current ideas and plans for reducing energy use on campus, provide a collection point for new ideas and strategies, and advance the important process of establishing the college as a leader in smart energy use.
Visit the site and g et involved by e-mailing "Smart Energy Use" subcommittee representatives with your ideas and comments or by attending an Energy Conservation subcommittee meeting. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month, at 3:30 p.m., in BTC, Room 122.
