Students Join Visiting Chef in Preparation of Elegant Dinner

Baking and pastry arts students Katlyn D. Stupar and Janet L. Masters work with John Burkhart, chef patissier of City Tavern, during his visit to campus Staib demonstrates for students how to assemble the third course for the Visiting Chef Dinner on Saturday Visiting Chef Walter Staib, proprietor and executive chef of City Tavern, signs a copy of 'City Tavern Cookbook' Visiting Chef Walter Staib spent time with students on campus Feb. 23-25, during which they prepared an elegant Visiting Chef Dinner that was served on Saturday. Staib owns City Tavern in Philadelphia, a reconstructed version of the tavern in which members of the First Continental Congress met informally. Funds from the dinner are used to support scholarships.
