'Cat TalesMen's Basketball Trailing by 17 points at the half, Penn College roared back to within three of Penn State DuBois before falling at the finish. Tony Flint (Port Allegany) led the Wildcats' scoring effort with 24 points while Matt Melusky (Minersville) added 19 and Matt Michaels (Williamsport) 10.
Against Penn State New Kensington, Penn College built a 52-35 halftime lead and continued to pull away in the second half. Tony Flint poured in a personal season-high 30 points while Melusky chipped in with 18 points, Rob Valentin 13 and Craig Flint 12.
Women's BasketballAmy Fassett (Athens) scored 22 points, Brittany Blessard (Renovo) had 16, Sarah Mehlman (Northern Lebanon) 15 and Katlyn Stupar (State College) 14 as the Lady Wildcats eased by Penn State Hazleton. Stupar also grabbed 13 rebounds.
Stupar scored 24 points, Fassett 13 and Blessard 11 in Penn College's win over Penn State New Kensington.
