Workforce Education Class Among Local Penn State Offerings

A Workforce Education graduate session, as well as two master's-related classes, are among this fall's offerings of the local Penn State Continuing Education office.

Workforce Education Class To Be Offered in Williamsport This Fall

Become a more effective change agent; enroll in Penn State's graduate course in Organizational Development for Industrial Trainers this fall. The class is designed to familiarize students with the concepts, skills, and techniques required to facilitate and support organizational changes. Earn three graduate credits by taking WFED 572 with William Rothwell, who combines his industry experience with his academic pursuits and brings a balanced and applied perspective to the classroom.

The class will be offered over two weekends, meeting Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-23 and Nov. 18-20.

Penn State Announces New Master's of Education in Educational Technology

This new master's degree is designed to help educators make effective use of technology as an educational tool and is being offered in a very convenient format for working professionals. Students can match their schedule and learning preference by combining traditional face-to-face classes with online classes.

Penn State's Continuing Education office in Williamsport is planning to offermore than50 percentof the courses needed to complete the degree in a traditional face-to-face format in the evenings or on weekends. The remainder of the classes can be taken online, allowing the student to complete the degree without having to travel to University Park.

If you are interested in getting started on the degree, we encourage you to take advantage of two classes that are being offered this fall.

EDPSY 421: Learning Processes in Relation to Educational Practices (3 credits) An introduction to the empirical study of variables and conditions that influence school learning. Dates: Mondays, Sept. 26-Dec. 5 Times: 4:30-7:30 p.m. Instructor: Paula Bigatel
