Student Intern, Mentor Finish Second in 'Aviation Olympics'

Richard J.Geyer, an Aviation Maintenance Technology major from East Greenville, and mentor Mike DeCosta from Altria Corporate Services in White Plains, N.Y., recently competed in the Aviation Maintenance Olympics. They and Altria employee Dave Richards took part in the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association-sponsored competition from May 19-20. Events included safety wire, hardline fabrication and hardware identification. The team placed second, and won a screwdriver from Snap-on Tools and a T-shirt. The competition was part of the 2005 West Chester Airport Career Fair for high-school students.
