Members of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Phi Beta Lambda chapter will attend this summer's national conference in Orlando, Fla., on the basis of theirApril 15-17success at the state level.
In addition to competing for the right to represent PBL at the June 24-27 nationalevent at the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Swan Resort, students participated in a number of workshops at the state conference in Grantville. Walking away with awards in hand were:
- Alex Kantor, Harrisburg,and Justin Wilcott, Bloomsburg − first place in Web-site development
- Julie Reppert, Myerstown − first place in business communications
- Robert Dimmick, Danville − second place in sports management and markets
- Ange Rymer, Jersey Shore − third place in management.
In addition, Alicia Picard of Williamsport won electionasPBL's state vice president.
Phi Beta Lambda is the collegiate version of the Future Business Leaders of America, a nonprofit educational association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields.
