Piano Class Available to 'Hopelessly Busy People'

Tuesday, April 26, 2005

Many people would like to learn to play the piano for pleasure, but do not have the time for weekly lessons.

In a one-evening program in June at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus "Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People" participants can learn enough to have years of musical enjoyment, whether entertaining others or just for their own amusement.

In this workshop, participants will learn all the chords needed to play any song, any style and in any key. An exclusive audiocassette is provided so students can perfect their technique at home. It's easy, fun and musically correct. Students should be able to read the treble clef.

Guy Faux from Mount Laurel, N.J., is the instructor for the class. He has studied with internationally known teachers, and is an author and composer of many modern piano instrumentals. He travels throughout the east, teaching pop piano-playing techniques.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at the North Campus, located three miles east of Wellsboro on Route 6. The cost of the program is $79, which includes materials and audiocassette.
