The funeral was Monday for Richard C. Mason II, a CAD Technology specialist with Workforce Development& Continuing Education, who died Wednesday, Dec. 8. A member of the Penn College family for more than 11 years, he also served as an instructor in the School of Construction and Design Technologies. Viewed as one of the leading AutoCAD specialists in the United States, he made significant contributions toward establishing Penn College and WDCE as a leader in technology education and training. Mason (a College alumnus, graduating in 1985 with a degree in Engineering Drafting Technology) recently received several honors from Autodesk, including the "Instructional Quality Award," presented to only the Top 10 certified AutoCAD instructors in the country. He leaves a wife and three children. Services were in Church of the Resurrection, Muncy; arrangements wereby McCarty-Thomas', 557 E. Water St., Hughesville.
