'Cat Tales BaseballIn dropping a doubleheader at Alfred (N.Y.) State, Matt Flook (Williamsport), Chuck Kline (Middletown) and Dave Miller (Pen Argyl) each went 2-for-4 at the plate for Penn College.
Men's Soccer Going up against Mercyhurst Junior College in its opener, Penn College played its opponent nearly even in shots on goal and corner kicks, but three of Mercyhurst's six shots found the back of the net and the Wildcats couldn't capitalize on any of their five attempts.
Cross CountryTom Lambert (Bangor) finished 23rd overall and the Penn College men opened their season with a fifth-place finish in the Marywood Invitational. Other top runners for the Wildcats were Dan Arminavage (Annville-Cleona), who was 27th, and Ryan Lampart (Hazleton), who was 29th.
