Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance training is being offered online by Workforce Development& Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Online training is the most convenient way for eligible employers and employees to benefit from the Guaranteed Free Training program offered through WEDnetPA and funded by the state Department of Community and Economic Development.
New and existing employees can train at the time and place of their choosing at work, at home or on the road. A comprehensive library of 45 specific topics is available, with more than 100 workplace-safety lessons in industry-specific markets provided.
The OSHA topics covered include: Mining Safety and Health Administration, Department of Transportation, electrical worker training, environmental management, forklift, emergency procedures, general health and safety, hazardous-waste operations/emergency response, first aid, recognition and avoidance of hazards, and statutory rights.
Other reasons to train online include automated record-keeping and compliance, trackable assessments, flexible use of courseware, and many administrative-reporting options. In addition, some courses are eligible for Continuing Education Units.
