Weight-Loss Surgery Topic of Penn College Library Program
Thursday, January 29, 2004
Two Pennsylvania College of Technology employees will discuss their experiences with weight-loss surgery in a program to be offered Monday, Feb. 23, at the College Library.
In the program titled "Weight-Loss Surgery: What's It Really Like?" Dr. Jeanette L. Fraser, director of Outreach for K-12; and Chuck W. Feaster II, grant and asset accountant, will address the surgical procedures they underwent in the summer of 2003.
The presenters will discuss why they were appropriate candidates for weight-loss surgery, the types of weight-loss surgeries that are available, why they chose their form of surgery, what it was like to experience the surgery and how their quality of life has changed as a result.
The program, which is free and open to the public, will run from noon to 1 p.m. in the library, located in the Learning Resources Center on Penn College's main campus.
