India's IT Revolution Topic of Penn College Library Program

The impact of the information-technology revolution taking place in India will be the topic of a program to be offered Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Pennsylvania College of Technology Library.
With a population of more than 1 billion people, India is bustling with commercial activity, and information technology is at the forefront of the commercial pulse. The cities of Hyderabad and Bangalore are hubs for the information-technology explosion occurring in India today.
Penn College international students Grishma K. Govani and Vamsi K. Manga, who hail from those cities, will present the program, titled "India Today: The Information Technology Explosion," from 2 to 3 p.m. in the library. They will discuss the IT revolution and how it influences the Indian economy and society.
The program, which is free and open to the public, is being co-sponsored by the library and the International Programs Office at Penn College. Light refreshments will be provided.
