Penn College Summer Commencement Ceremonies Set for Aug. 9

More than 160 Pennsylvania College of Technology students have petitioned to graduate in Summer Commencement ceremonies to be held Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport.
Wendy A. Cunningham, Montoursville, will be the student speaker for the ceremonies, which will begin at 11 a.m. Cunningham will receive a bachelor's degree in Technical and Professional Communication from the School of Integrated Studies at Penn College.
Bachelor's degrees, associate's degrees and certificates will be conferred by Penn College President Dr. Davie Jane Gilmour and Birch B. Phillips Jr., a member of the College's Board of Directors.
Also to be presented is a Pennsylvania College of Technology Mentorship Award, given in recognition of a business that has made a significant or ongoing contribution to the education and development of students at the College. This year's recipient is MaTech (Machining Technologies) Inc., Hebron, Md.
SusCom will broadcast the commencement ceremonies live on local cable Channel 2.
