Computer Science Professor Takes Part in International Conferences

Dr. Asesh K. Das, a faculty member in the School of Business and Computer Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently participated in the Sixth World Multiconference on Systems, Cybernetics and Informatics and the Eighth International Conference on Information Systems, Analysis and Synthesis in Orlando, Fla.

Dr. Das, a professor of computer science at Penn College, served as chairman for the "Information Systems, Development Methods and Methodologies II" session and co-chairman for the "Computing Techniques I" session.

He also presented a paper, "Computing with Words Ontological Engineering," in which he discussed how, using simple English words, "fuzzy logic" could be used for designing and intelligent searching of very large information repositories.
