The Technology Transfer Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently provided information-technology training to employees of Susquehanna Health System, courtesy of Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania funding.
Nearly 50 Health System employees received more than 1,700 hours of training through WEDnetPA's Guaranteed Free Training program, which provided $29,700 toward that purpose. The training addressed network administration, computer software and hardware engineering, programming, systems analysis, information security, technology support and management information systems. The training was conducted at the Williamsport Hospital and Medical Center.
Penn College is one of 32 institutions partnering with WEDnetPA, now in its fourth year. In the first three years, the College administered more than $5 million in reimbursement funds for the training of company employees throughout Pennsylvania.
