Students at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be able to meet informally with approximately 125 employers participating in "Career Expo" and "Career Fair" events on Thursday, March 22, at the College's main campus in Williamsport and the Earth Science Center near Allenwood.
More than 100 firms will have representatives at "Career Expo 2001," scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. at the Field House on the main campus. At least two dozen employers are planning to send representatives to the "Career Fair" at Penn College's Earth Science Center, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Earth Science Center is located 12 miles south of Williamsport off Route 15.
In the Fall 2000 Career Expo, 95 companies and 670 students/alumni participated. The event, sponsored by the Counseling and Career Services Center at Penn College, provides an informal setting in which students can connect with employers seeking full-time, part-time, seasonal and contract workers, as well as cooperative-education placements.
Career Expo 2001 is free and open to all students and alumni of Penn College, The Pennsylvania State University and Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses.
An eRecruiting training session will be offered for employers attending the Career Expo on the main campus, and lunch and a post-event reception also will be provided for the representatives of those firms.
