An exhibition of 50 wood cut prints will be on display from Jan. 30 to Feb. 18 at the 202 Gallery in the Alvin C. Bush Campus Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
The exhibition is the result of an exchange of work between artists with Xylon Argentina (an association of relief printmakers in and around Buenos Aires, Argentina, that promotes wood cut and wood engraved printing), and the Wood Engravers' Network (a group of printmakers interested in wood engraving that promotes communication and education in the relief medium). Formed in 1994, the Wood Engravers' Network has more than 150 members in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.
The artists whose works will be displayed at the 202 Gallery show are: Alfredo Benavidez Bedoya, Anteo Scordamaglia, Carlos Bechara, Claudio Lara, Cristian Delhez, Elias Esquef, Liliana Gerardi, Marcelo Malagamba, Marcela Miranda, Marcela Purita, Oscar Ciancio, Osvaldo Jalil, Pablo Delfin, Patricia Puglisi, Roberto Koch and Sandra La Porta.
An opening reception will be held at the gallery from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
Subsequent gallery hours will be by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call (570) 326-3761, ext. 7491. The gallery is on the south end of the second floor of the Bush Campus Center.
