Green Building Fair at College Showcases Environmentally Friendly Products, Services
Wednesday, March 1, 2000
Building products and services with a "green" orientation will be on display Tuesday, March 28, at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
The Green Building Fair, which is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Penn College's Field House, will provide a forum for 40 vendors and professionals who will offer information and exhibit samples of their environmentally friendly products. The event is free and open to the public.
While there will be no formal presentations at the fair, attendees including construction professionals, students and novices may speak with representatives of the firms, who will be available continuously throughout the event. Some examples of "green" products are those that reduce energy consumption for heating, cooling and lighting purposes and those that are constructed from recycled materials or that may be recycled when they wear out.
The Field House is located at the southwest corner of the campus. Parking is available on the west side of the facility in spaces that are not marked "reserved." Those with disabilities who require special accommodations may call 326-3761, ext. 7803 in advance of the event.
