The Automotive Technology: Ford ASSET program at Pennsylvania College of Technology has just received its initial certification by National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation in alleight areas, thus receiving Master Certification.
Both the Automotive Technology and the Automotive Technology/Toyota Emphasis majors were individually evaluated for reaccreditation (five-year cycle) and were successful.
According to Colin W. Williamson, dean of transportation technology, "It was a considerable task to do and was a credit to the staff and faculty that worked on the visit. The comments were very positive from the team and reinforce the progress the program has made. Congratulations to all those who were involved."
