Phi Theta Kappa has named a Pennsylvania College of Technology student as a 2024 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar.

Leo W. Cooke, of Easton, is one of 210 Phi Theta Kappa members to receive the honor and the accompanying $1,000 scholarship. Cooke is seeking an associate degree in automated manufacturing technology.

About 1,500 students applied to the scholarship program. Recipients were selected based on their scholastic achievement, community service and leadership potential.

Cooke is a Dean’s List student and a member of the college’s renowned Baja SAE team.

Phi Theta Kappa is the first honor society recognizing the academic achievement of associate-degree students. The society has more than 4.3 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 11 countries.
