WVIA News is conducting a “Listening Tour” by visiting various communities and asking residents for input on what stories to cover. Community members are invited to visit the WVIA radio studio in the lobby of the Community Arts Center from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2. As space is limited, reservations are encouraged on the WVIA site.

The gathering is not a formal presentation but an opportunity to meet WVIA's Williamsport/Lycoming County reporter, Chase Bottorf; suggest story ideas; take a brief news survey; and enter to win prizes.

WVIA's radio studio is located off the first-floor lobby of the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport.

As a side note: the WVIA event will occur as Williamsport’s First Friday is being set up, so West Fourth Street will be closed (from Market to Hepburn Streets), starting at 3 p.m. on Aug. 2. Visitors to the Listening Tour should plan accordingly.

Friday Friday runs 5 to 9 p.m. and is presented by Lycoming Arts. A kids’ carnival will be set up in the “Mural Canyon” parking lot across from the Community Arts Center, located at 220 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. For more information on First Friday, visit the Lycoming Arts site.

The Community Arts Center is owned by Pennsylvania College of Technology.
