'Hot Dog' event supplies renewed animal magnetism

    As temperatures dipped into a more seasonal Pennsylvania January, the fluffy snugglefest known as "Hot Dog, You're Back!" – held this month in the Field House – provided all the warmth you'd expect from affable employees and their adorable canine companions.

    The midyear spinoff of fall's "Hot Dog, You're Here!" welcomed students to the spring semester with huggable dogs, edible treats and valuable insight into Counseling Services and other campus resources.

    Eric L. Anstadt, instructor of electrical technology/occupations, brought along Gibora, a Dogue de Bordeaux (and an endearing recipient of affection).
    James G. Snyder (husband of Wendie L. Snyder, director of College Health Services) holds Stella, a Shih Tzu/poodle mix.
    Jason Wiedl, a construction management student from West Pittston, brought his Clubhouse Concessions food truck – stocked with people food and dog treats alike.
    Cortez Von Rudberg, a long-haired chihuahua accompanied by Mary R. Shuma Rudberg, director of counseling services, enjoys a new circle of friends.
