    "What we recognize is a skills gap in our industry and not just our industry, but really in manufacturing altogether," says Tiffany Loner-Diemer, West Pharmaceutical Services' senior manager of learning and development. "It's really critical now to build up apprentices and to build those apprenticeship programs because we're able to identify what are the skills that we need now – and what are the skills that we need later – so that we can prepare our current workforce to handle those jobs as more baby boomers retire."
