Nov. 4 5K race/walk to benefit Alpha Chi honor society

The Xi Chapter of the Alpha Chi national honor society will hold a 5K race/walk beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4. Starting and ending at the Field House, the in-person race will direct runners and walkers through Penn College's beautiful campus and be timed by Falcon Racing.
Alpha Chi welcomes both on-site and virtual participants. The last day to register online is Oct. 31 – or Oct. 19 to be guaranteed a T-shirt. (There will be an additional registration opportunity starting at 7:30 a.m. on race day; a limited number of shirts may be available then for late registrants.)
The entry fee is $30; $25 for students. Participation will support academic excellence, as proceeds from "Stride With Alpha Chi" will go toward fees for new inductees.
Top finishers will win medals created in Michael R. Allen's welding class by Cullen Van Rooyen, of Muskingum, Ohio, enrolled in welding & fabrication engineering technology.
Alpha Chi's Pennsylvania Xi Chapter is open to baccalaureate enrollees from all academic majors and limited to the top 10 percent of Penn College's junior and senior classes.
