Four Penn College alumni who work at Lycoming Engines' Williamsport headquarters made a surprise visit to campus Thursday morning to share their company’s Little League Baseball World Series pin with several college offices.

Aviation alumni Trevor D. Dietrich, Russel C. Gait and Christopher M. Gayman joined advertising art/applied technology studies alumna Whitnie-Rae Mays in the quick “prize patrol” glide around campus. Mays, graphic designer and marketing specialist at Lycoming Engines, designed the company’s pin, which features a cute caricature of "Little Lyco," a Lycoming engine. Dietrich and Gait are field service technical representatives, and Gayman is OEM sales manager.

When the foursome stopped by the executive offices, President Michael J. Reed returned the favor by giving a Penn College Little League pin to each of them.

More than 150 alumni are employed by Lycoming Engines, continuing a local partnership that dates to the 1930s.
