The Dunham Children's Learning Center has expanded through the addition of the Butterflies, a mixed-age preschool classroom for 3- to 5-year-olds. Teaching the Butterflies is Rebecca L. Helminiak, who holds two diplomas from Penn College – an associate degree in early childhood education (2020) and a bachelor's in applied management (2022) – and who has been part of the CLC staff since 2020. The assistant teacher in the classroom is Candi Leisenring, who has years of experience with children, along with early childhood educational credits. The Butterflies (who join the CLC's Bees, Bunnies, Bears and Birds) began class on Aug. 9 and are quickly becoming a part of the campus community.
