As Penn College students prepare for next week's trip to Churchill Downs and the 149th running of the Kentucky Derby, FOX 56's Taylor Whartnaby made a pre-race visit to campus.

For a piece that aired during Wednesday's newscasts, the multimedia journalist interviewed Chef Mike S. Dinan, sous chef for Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, and students Hope G. LoMarro, of Exton, and Jalen J.L. Stunkard, of New Fairfield, Conn.. both baking & pastry arts; and Kylee P. Albert, of Boyertown, business administration.

“Honestly, the first time I heard about the opportunity to go to the derby, I just thought were really couldn’t pass it up," Stunkard told her. "It just seems like an amazing thing to be able to say you’ve done."
