Alumni to Be Showcased in "Kaleidoscope' Group Exhibit

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of the Madigan Library at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will present "Kaleidoscope," an exhibition that celebrates the many artistic facets of the college's alumni community, from Oct. 7 to Nov. 6.
Held in conjunction with the college's 2011 Homecoming celebration, the juried exhibit will feature original works of art in all media by 29 alumni of Penn College and its predecessors, Williamsport Area Community College (1965-89) and Williamsport Technical Institute (1941-65). Prizes will be awarded, and a Viewer's Choice Award will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibit.

The exhibit is part of the annual Penn College Proud Showcase, which features artwork or personal collections of the college community, including alumni, faculty and staff, and retirees of Penn College, W.A.C.C. and W.T.I.
The gallery will host an Opening Reception on Oct. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. A classical guitar concert by alumnus Alfonse Ciaccio, '93, is scheduled Sunday, Oct. 9, at 1:30 p.m., as part of Homecoming activities and "In Perfect Harmony: The Concert Series in The Gallery at Penn College."
The gallery is open Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 2 to 7 p.m.; and Wednesday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Saturday and Monday). The gallery will be closed Oct. 14-16 in conjunction with the college's Fall Break.
