Hollinger, event organizer Action all around the tableThe second annual Floor Pong tournament, organized by Campus View Resident Assistant Ashlin R. Hollinger, was held Wednesday night in the Field House. Promoted by word of mouth and a YouTube video linked from the student portal, the event reintroduced the campus to a variation on table tennis in which surfaces beyond the table are fair game. Hollinger, a plastics and polymer engineering technology major who also provided these photos of his event, even convinced Cathy J. Specht − who teaches ping-pong and tennis as a part-time member of the fitness and lifetime sports faculty − to drop by with some hands-on instruction. Hollinger's inaugural Floor Pong tourney was chosen as the Residence Life Office's Educational Program of the Month when it was held last winter.
