Penn College to Hold Spring Commencement Ceremonies May 16-17

Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold three commencement ceremonies on May 16-17 for the more than 1,000 students who have petitioned to graduate at the end of the Spring 2008 semester.
A ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 16, for students in the schools of Construction and Design Technologies and Transportation Technology.
On Saturday, May 17, a ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. for students in the schools of Business and Computer Technologies, Health Sciences, and Hospitality; and at 2 p.m. for students in the schools of Industrial and Engineering Technologies, Natural Resources Management, and Integrated Studies.
The student speaker for the May 16 ceremony will be Amie Nicole Hixson, of Selinsgrove, who is enrolled in the collision repair technology associate-degree major in the School of Transportation Technology.
At the 10 a.m. ceremony on May 17, the student speaker will be Aaron David Moyer, of Perkasie, who is enrolled in the business administration: marketing concentration bachelor-degree major in the School of Business and Computer Technologies.
The student speaker for the 2 p.m. ceremony on May 17 will be Andrew S. Wisner, of York, who is enrolled in the welding and fabrication engineering technology bachelor-degree major in the School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies.
During the ceremonies, the college will present its Distinguished Teaching Awards: the Veronica M. Muzic Master Teacher Award and two Excellence in Teaching Awards. Also presented will be three alumni awards: a Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award and two Alumnus/Alumna Achievement Awards.
Degrees will be conferred by Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour, assisted by Penn College Board of Directors Chairman Robert E. Dunham.
