Wildcat Women Stand Out in Volleyball Win

New Kensington never gave up, but the Penn College Wildcats dominatedTuesday's women's volleyballmatch to take it inthree games: 30-15, 30-23, 30-24. "The absolutely perfect back-row play of Maria Bova set the precedent (including 13 digs)," said coach Bambi Hawkins. "Her teammates followed suit: Amber Geckle showed her appreciation of the incredible passing by setting 26 assists that hitters like Janell Thompson and Annie Allton capitalized on with 12 and 7 kills, respectively." The coach said Sara Gamble also stood out with with all-around great play, adding 10 digs in the back row, 100-percent serving and solid hitting in the front row.
