College Presents Student Achievement Awards

Pennsylvania College of Technology presented Student Achievement Awards recently to students graduating in the College's Summer 2001 Commencement ceremonies at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport. The award winners and their academic majors are:

PRESIDENT'S AWARD, for leadership and service to the College: Andrew J. Seise, Williamsport, Physician Assistant.

THE ACADEMIC VICE PRESIDENT AND PROVOST'S AWARD, for scholastic achievement and service: Brett Sidney Blemle, Mocanaqua, Physician Assistant.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS' AWARD, for achievement under exceptional conditions: Davida Jane Dandrea, Wellsboro, Physician Assistant.

THE LEWIS H. BARDO MEMORIAL AWARD, for a student who exemplifies the ideals of Lewis H. Bardo (Devotion to duty, helpfulness to others, friendliness and high ideals): Kevin C. Gordon, South Williamsport, Physician Assistant.

THE ELLEN HARDING BERRY NURSING GRADUATION AWARD, presented to the student who has displayed outstanding scholastic achievement and exceptional ability in practicum and communication skills: Wendy Sue Streator, Lock Haven, Practical Nursing.

THE BETH ANN LAMB MEMORIAL AWARD, to the graduate who exhibits a commitment to the radiography program and love of the profession: Jacquelyn Renee Orris, Loysville, Radiography.

THE THELMA S. MORRIS AWARD, presented to the student who has demonstrated outstanding qualities of a practical nurse in the clinical area: Maria C. Arvelo, Mifflinburg, Practical Nursing.

THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT FACULTY AWARD, to the student who has demonstrated dedicated service to the program: Patricia Rose Chadderdon, Cogan Station, Applied Health Studies.

THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT MAJOR AWARD, to the student who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement: Patricia Rose Chadderdon, Cogan Station, Applied Health Studies.

THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT MAJOR AWARD, to the student who demonstrates the most improvement and professional growth: Stephanie L. Vandegrift, Wellsboro, Occupational Therapy Assistant.

THE RADIOGRAPHY MAJOR FACULTY AND STAFF AWARD, for the student(s) who exemplifies outstanding clinical attributes and technical skill as evidenced through their 24-month clinic practicum education: Jason Anthony Russell, Warren, Radiography; and Mary Ann K. Stine, South Williamsport, Radiography.

SUSQUEHANNA IMAGING ASSOCIATES AWARD, for the student who most nearly exemplifies the ideals of selflessness, unusual devotion to duty, sensitivity to the patient's comfort and needs, and service to colleagues, patients, and the hospital, beyond the ordinary: Bret Allen Brosious, Sunbury, Pre-Applied Health Studies .
