Tax Conference Slated for Feb. 25 at North Campus

The American Tree Farm System, The Forest Stewardship Program, Penn State Cooperative Extension and Pennsylvania College of Technology will present a Woodland Owners Tax Conference at the College's North Campus, outside of Wellsboro,from 7 to9 p.m.Feb. 25.
Be sure you know what you need to know when you sell timber from your woodland. Topics to be covered include treating timber as an investment or business, Items for timber tax preparation, timber sales, expenses, capital assets, and record keeping.
Advanced registration is required to attend and there is a fee. Registrations will accepted as long as there is room (approximately 40 seats), so register early.
